Why should you apply to be on Dawg Camp Staff?
Dawg Camp Staff Members are a group of UGA students who come from various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are searching for students like YOU to share your story and to help guide and support a group of incoming students during their transition to the University of Georgia.
You may be asking “what does it take to be a Dawg Camp counselor?”
To which we would answer, there is no perfect formula for what it takes to be a Dawg Camp counselor. We are looking for counselors who are willing to show up, be authentic, and who are prepared to learn and grow alongside 50 other incredible UGA students and are ready to welcome #UGA31 to the Bulldog Family.
Applications for our 2027 Dawg Camp Staff will open on Monday, September 14 at 8:00 am and close on Friday, October 2 at 11:59 pm.
We are excited to build a committed team of students (that’s you!) who will help provide incoming students with an unforgettable transition into UGA! Below you will find the steps to completing the #DC27 application.
Step 1 | Review the Position Description and Mandatory Dates
Step 2 | Come to an information session
Applicants are required to attend one of our Information Sessions to learn more about the Dawg Camp staff experience, meet the University Transitions professional staff, and hear from previous staff members.
- Wednesday, September 16 at 2:00 pm in Tate 142
- Friday, September 18 at 1 pm in Tate 142
- Monday, September 21 at 4 pm in Tate 142
- Thursday, September 24 at 6 pm in Tate 142
- Sunday, September 27 at 4 pm on Zoom
- Wednesday, September 30 at 3 pm in Tate 142
Staff members will also be tabling at Tate on the following dates:
Wednesday, September 16 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Tate Breezeway
Tuesday, September 22 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Tate Concourse
- Monday, September 28 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Tate Concourse
- Thursday, October 1 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Tate Concourse
