The Department of Student Transitions within the UGA Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to supporting students through key times of transition during their time at the University of Georgia. Within Student Transitions, students will be connected to campus resources, learn strategies to effectively navigate their collegiate experience, and take part in various transition programming opportunities.

Student Resources

Student Transitions is committed to providing support and resources that will allow students to be successful at all points of transition during their college experience. Students will be connected to Student Affairs and campus resources in order to help students effectively navigate times of transition and continue timely progression to graduation.

Dawg Camp

Dawg Camp is a nationally renowned extended orientation program designed to assist students with their transition into the University of Georgia community. Dawg Camp provides a foundation for a successful college experience by exposing participants to student life, exploring common transition topics, and engaging in fun and dynamic activities.

Welcome UGA

Welcome UGA is a campus wide effort to celebrate and support first-year, transfer and returning students to campus at the beginning of each semester. The great thing about Welcome UGA is that there are events and programs that range in size, location, and focus—you are sure to find something that interests you!
