Spring Dawg Camp

Dawg Camp Spring is a dynamic program built specifically for 40 spring-start transfer and first-year students that offers a unique understanding of UGA and Athens! 

This program aims to provide incoming spring-start students with opportunities to connect with UGA, engage with the Athens community, learn about valuable campus resources, and, most importantly, connect with one another in meaningful ways.

Dawg Camp Spring is uniquely facilitated by two counselors who have successfully navigated transitioning to UGA. They will guide you through the weekend and provide advice, tips, and tricks for navigating your first semester at UGA!

$150

This cost includes all meals, program materials, and transportation from UGA to the program sites. Parking is an additional cost.
*Participants will be responsible for their housing for the duration of Dawg Camp Spring. They will also be responsible for their transportation to and from camp.

If you are interested in attending Spring Dawg Camp, please fill out our waitlist link below and a member of University Transitions Staff will contact you if a spot opens up. Spots are first come first serve.

Weekend Highlights

Experience Athens’ vibrant sports culture firsthand by cheering on the Rock Lobsters, the city’s professional hockey club!
Connect with peers in small group sessions led by two amazing student counselors and discover more about life at UGA.
Stroll through the magical Winter WonderLights at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia—an Athens tradition—and make memories with your new Dawg Camp friends!
Quick FAQs

The following items are recommended, but not required, to bring to Spring Dawg Camp:

    • Comfortable clothes + closed-toe shoes
    • Water bottle with your name on it
    • Rain jacket/poncho
    • Phone charger

If you are driving yourself to Dawg Camp, parking passes are available to purchase when you register for the program. 

A 50% refund will be given to those who request it at least two weeks prior to the start of their original Dawg Camp programNo refunds will be given for cancellations made after the registration deadline as program materials have already been purchased and reservations have been solidified.
