Advising
Registration is just around the corner! Schedule a meeting with your academic advisor early to prepare for registration!
Spring/Summer Class Registration Prep
Spring/Summer Class Registration begins in November. Make sure you know your assigned registration time. Log into Athena to double-check that you have completed all advising requirements and have no holds preventing you from registering.
Internships
Are you interested in a summer internship? Handshake is a great place to start searching for various internships!
Midterms
Midterms are coming up, so make sure you are prepared.
- The Division of Academic Enhancement offers peer tutoring at no additional cost.
- The UGA Writing Center can help you polish your writing projects.
Experiential Learning
When you learn by doing, you learn differently. You learn more. You learn beyond the subject matter – you also learn about yourself. At UGA, we couldn’t agree more. We’re passionate about the promise of Experiential Learning (EL), and we believe it’s a foundational part of the college experience and beyond. Be sure to make sure you have plans to complete your EL credit during your time at UGA!

FAFSA Application
Make sure to complete your 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority consideration date for limited need-based funds is February 1st! The FAFSA can also be used to apply for Hope and Zell if you’re an in-state student, but remember the FAFSA must be completed each award year.
Get Engaged
Are you interested in getting involved in a new student organization or wanting to try something new? Your second year is a great time to try new engagement opportunities! Each semester, there are 2 Engagement Fairs! Visit involve.uga.edu to browse all the registered student organizations and events happening on campus.
Advising
Remember you are required to meet with your academic advisor every semester before registering for classes. Log into SAGE to make an advising appointment; don’t wait until the last minute!
Find Your Career Consultant
Each major at UGA has a specific career consultant! Visit career.uga.edu to find yours and schedule an appointment! Career consultants can help students determine what career they want to pursue and what majors!
Spring Break
Have fun, and stay safe over spring break! Check out the Fontaine Center’s Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Services.
